Maternity Services- Need for Continuity to Reduce Birth Interventions and Trauma

Maternity APPG with MP Michelle Welsh, 14th September in Parliament, on Continuity and how to fix the lack of it -for 2 hours. I,ve now to arrange a private meeting with this good lady who is a government maternity advisor.
Continuity IE:
Having the same midwife/ team especially during labour, allowing a bond, trust and security to grow, and familiarity with mother and her circumstances, not being made to repeat history etc., kindness and consideration and sharing of information etc. etc. etc . a calmer , happier birth with less chaos and interference, sorry …….meant to say interventions.
About 56 attended, and I elected to give Everglow,s account which was taken note of, and so have made more useful contacts with many long suffering folk, all working for better maternity services.
Here,s a thought…….
Where there is strong continuity in maternity services there,s been up to a 28% reduction in birth interventions and consequential birth trauma.
